That is a good question. The name Delmar Four Corners goes back a good 100 years. If you look at the USGS map from 1893, there are only four corners at the intersection of Delaware and Kenwood. The 1927 map shows the stub that is today's Paddock Place. Paddock Place probably started out as just a driveway or alley.
